HP, Dell, Apple laptop with NVIDIA Chip not working? Build 2005 – 2008.
Symptoms like these, Laptop powers up but will not post, Wireless card no longer detected, Video anomalies and a few other symptoms on HP, Dell and Apple computers may have you angry.
A common failure especially in HP DV series laptops involved the NVIDIA Chipset. If your computer experienced specific symptoms you may be qualified under a settlement involving these manufactures. I have seen about a hundred of these come through my shop some of which we were able to get repaired and some that could not be fixed and HP was not willing to repair due to warranty expiration. We did not see many Dells with this issue but I guess we were lucky. We are posting this as service to all of our clients and future customers that may be effected by this issue.
