You think big brother watching is a weird statement but how much are they watching?  A group of Rent to Own Computer companies and a software firm were recently fines by the FTC for “Flagrant” computer spying.  The companies apparently used software installed on the system to try to track the computer to assist in the process of debt collections.  The software was capable of logging keyboard activity, as well as activate the web cam and take photos. the company Designware created the PC agent software for the retail companies for more details read Paul Roberts article at Naked Security called “Companies agree to stop spying, taking secret photos on rented home computers“.  Naked Security is a web site developed by Sophos.
