The who’s who of “You have been Hacked!” – 02/05/2013
Apparently last week was a big day for big companies to be hacked. Companies like the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post and even Twitter. This was the opening information in Mike Isaacs “Trending” article “Twitter Got Hacked. Expect More Companies to Follow.” post.
His question is a good one who will be next? He points out that this was not isolated and the attacks are going after “High Value Targets”. One very interesting point made in the article is the idea that all system will eventually be hacked but sometimes know is the tough part. Customers of ours have often heard me say there is no guarantee that any antivirus software will work. This article points that fact out at stated that the NY Times uses Symantec but failed to identify many of the attacks.
The article also stated that users are the target of most attacks and that the weakest link is the Human in any security strategy.
